Prestige Deck Coating services San Bernardino! We recently headed up and out to Rialto to bring an unhealthy deck reconstruction up to code. Resurfacing Decks is our specialty. Deck Resurfacing Repair. Our first step in resurfacing decks is proper deck repair.

For this Rialto project, we removed and replaced the bottom 8 inches of the stucco and in order to install the Diato 'Combo' metal. Next, Diato metal was placed along the deck to wall transition, incorporating the stucco screed. This was to make sure the wall was ready for stucco when we were done. We then installed drip edge flashing around the perimeter of the decking surface. A door pan was installed under the threshold to insure a waterproof seal.

Deck Resurfacing System. Our last step in resurfacing decks are our varied deck waterproofing systems.

For this particular deck coatings project, we used the Crete Decking System. This is a multi-layer waterproofing membrane designed for use over plywood sub-floors.

Scope Of Work:

1) Staple down 2.5 galvanized metal diamond lathe.

*Adds strength, flexibility

*Acts as bonding agent

 

2) Trowel down cementitious base coat with a polymer additive.

*Bonds to lathe

*Strengthens foundation

 

3) Laminate using fiberglass matting & acrylic resin (Bonder 480).

*Sets us apart from many other systems

*Waterproofs completely

 

4) Trowel down an extra layer of our cementitious base coat.

*Sandwiches fiberglass

*Reinforces strength and flexibility

 

5) Spray texture (Smooth/Knockdown/Orange peel)

*Provides anti-slip grip

*Improves aesthetic appeal

 

6) Seal using fortified concrete paint.

*Livens drab surfaces

*Finishes waterproofing process
