Resurfacing Decks Rialto

Prestige Deck Coating services San Bernardino! We recently headed up and out to Rialto to bring an unhealthy deck reconstruction up to code. Resurfacing Decks is our specialty. The contractor needed a quick solution and turn around time. Through constant communication and relevant site updates, we exhibited our flexibility and customer care! We are a well-rounded deck repair company that emphasizes quality products, expert installation, and meeting customer needs.

Resurfacing Decks

Deck Resurfacing Repair. Our first step in resurfacing decks is proper deck repair.

For this Rialto project, we removed and replaced the bottom 8 inches of the stucco and in order to install the Diato 'Combo' metal. Next, Diato metal was placed along the deck to wall transition, incorporating the stucco screed. This was to make sure the wall was ready for stucco when we were done. We then installed drip edge flashing around the perimeter of the decking surface. A door pan was installed under the threshold to insure a waterproof seal.

Deck Resurfacing System. Our last step in resurfacing decks are our varied deck waterproofing systems.

For this particular deck coatings project, we used the Crete Decking System. This is a multi-layer waterproofing membrane designed for use over plywood sub-floors.

Scope Of Work:

1) Staple down 2.5 galvanized metal diamond lathe.

*Adds strength, flexibility

*Acts as bonding agent

 

2) Trowel down cementitious base coat with a polymer additive.

*Bonds to lathe

*Strengthens foundation

 

3) Laminate using fiberglass matting & acrylic resin (Bonder 480).

*Sets us apart from many other systems

*Waterproofs completely

 

4) Trowel down an extra layer of our cementitious base coat.

*Sandwiches fiberglass

*Reinforces strength and flexibility

 

5) Spray texture (Smooth/Knockdown/Orange peel)

*Provides anti-slip grip

*Improves aesthetic appeal

 

6) Seal using fortified concrete paint.

*Livens drab surfaces

*Finishes waterproofing process

One of our latest opponents was a double-deck project. So, we gave it the Ol' 1-2 waterproof punch! The upper deck had surface cracks. The lower deck had no cracks and required only a maintenance seal.

When decking surfaces are in relatively good shape, we hit them when they are not looking!

For the lower deck coating, we first cleaned the surface and then resealed, using 2 coats epoxy fortified color top coat. Our deck paint is waterproof and comes in a variety of colors. We at Prestige Deck Coating are afraid to mix it up, providing a 1-2 combo of practical waterproofing and aesthetic goodness!

Now, for the knockout punch! We installed The Flex Decking System. This is a multi-layer waterproofing membrane designed for use over concrete sub-floors. Check out our strategy:

-Trowel down cementitious base coat with polymer additive. This takes care of any cracking.
-Laminate using fiberglass matting and acrylic resin (Bonder 480).
-Spray Desert Texture a cementitious texture (Smooth/Knockdown/Orange peel).
-Seal using two coats of epoxy fortified concrete paint.
