Sometimes, on a deck waterproofing project, you have to call on the big guns to flex their muscles.
Recently, Prestige Deck Coating traveled to sunny Brea to do just that. Indeed, this gorgeous but worn roof deck needed just the right touch, namely, our signature version of the flex system.
What is the Flex System?
We call it the Flex System for two reasons. One, we "flex" with your needs. If your decking is not severely damaged, we don't force an unnecessary project on you. Two, and most importantly, because it allows relatively stable decking surfaces to add a layer of strong flexibility. Think, half of our Crete System. The installation process is as follows:
- Install fiberglass matting and adhere with waterproof bonder
- Trowel polymer modified concrete mixture
- Spray texture style of your choice
- Coat with two applications of fortified concrete paint sealer
Thankfully, we were able to place our Flex waterproofing system right on top of the existing concrete decking. Thus, it saves time and money. Basically, any deck surface can be waterproofed.
With the Flex System, we utilize the pre-existing concrete layer to our advantage (and yours).
Note here, what is most important in the diagram that: the fiberglass matting layer that waterproofs the pre-existing concrete deck.
Now look at the aftermath when our flexed muscles squeezed all of the water off this roof decking! Not only could this old deck not resist our brawn, but it turned out looking pretty to boot! Just for you, we add a non-slip texturing of your choice - for aesthetics and durability. If you want to win the war of water versus deck – call Prestige Decking today! Why? We offer up to ten year warranties, have experienced specialists on each job, and use eco-friendly products. If that wasn't powerful enough, we also offer onsite estimates–for free! So then, let us flex our muscles and give you a reliable and beautiful deck for years to come.
